Language is the Greatest Common Denominator of Mankind
|
When I think about the origins of different languages, in the biblical sense, an idea pops
into mind. God punished the people for building the Tower of Babel by confusing their
languages and dispersing them throughout the earth. Subsequently, he actually facilitated
the emergence of a new profession. Enter the Translator.
As Jorge Luis Borges said, “In general, every country has the language it deserves.”
